About Us

Discover the story behind Tulsi Homestay and our passion for authentic Himalayan hospitality

Our Story

Tulsi Homestay was born from a dream to share the unparalleled beauty of Tirthan Valley with travelers seeking an authentic experience away from the commercialized tourist circuits. Founded by a local Himachali family, our homestay has been welcoming guests since 2018, offering them a warm, personal connection to the land, culture, and people of this magnificent valley.

Located just 2 kilometers from the Great Himalayan National Park entrance, Tulsi Homestay sits on a gentle slope overlooking the crystal-clear Tirthan River. The property is surrounded by apple orchards, cedar forests, and traditional Himachali villages where time seems to stand still.

The Location

Tirthan Valley is one of the last untouched valleys in Himachal Pradesh. The Tirthan River, a tributary of the Beas, flows through the valley, creating a paradise for trout fishing, riverside walks, and meditation. The valley is home to diverse wildlife including the Himalayan Monal (the state bird of Himachal), barking deer, and occasional sightings of the elusive snow leopard in the higher reaches.

Our Hospitality

At Tulsi Homestay, hospitality is not just a business - it is our way of life. Every guest is treated as family. From the moment you arrive, you will experience the genuine warmth that defines Himachali culture. Our homemade meals feature locally sourced ingredients, traditional recipes passed down through generations, and the freshest produce from our garden.
